Playing Baccarat

Baccarat is a simple casino game to enjoy as all facets of the game are governed by a firm set of game rules. Neither the player or the house have any choices to make, as the rules dictate what happens next.

The purpose of the casino game is to get closer to nine with your card total then the bankers hand does..
A hand can not “bust” like in Blackjack. In baccarat if a total is 10 or higher, then ten is removed from that total so the result is at all times between 0 and 9.

To start, the player chooses where to bet, then both the player(s) along with the dealer receive 2 cards.

If the players hand or dealers hand total is an 8 or 9, they have a natural and no one receives any more cards. When both the dealer and player receive a Natural, then it is a tie.

If there isn’t a Natural dealt with the first 2 cards, the subsequent rules determine what happens:

The player goes initially:

The Players Hand Is: The Dealers Hand Is:
0 through 5 Gets a third card
6, 7 Stays

After the players turn, the bankers hand receives an addional card (or not) based on the players draw:

The Bankers Hand Is:
0, 1, 2 Irrelevant Draw a card
3 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 Draws a card
8 Stays
9 Stays
4 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 Draws a card
0, 1, 8 or 9 Stays
5 5, 6 or 7 Draws a card
0, 1, 2, 3, 8 or 9 No further cards
4 Takes a card
6 6 or 7 Draws a card
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 or 9 Stay
7 Anything No further cards

After the cards have all been dealt, a comparison among the two hands is made and the one valued closest to 9 wins.
